Since the classical Grand Tour, Naples has always been a fundamental stage for the scholar coming to explore and study Italian cultural treasuries. The city, cradle of the Mediterranean civilization , is still an important territory of knowledge given its inestimable cultural heritage. Art, history, culture, and society merge into an urban model that speaks about contemporaneity, and at the same time is intimately connected to its strong cultural heritage. Unfortunately at this time (2004) , there have been only infrequent outside architectural or liberal arts foreign programs with institutional relationships, to this peculiar context, based in Naples.

LAN can offer to the interested institution, logistic and pedagogical support for the creation of a long term program. Our deep knowledge of the context allow us to be a perfect and efficient link between the foreign school and the city. Beyond functional aspects ( administration, resources management, studio spaces and facilities, finding accommodations ,visa, field trips organization) we can offer a series of courses sensitive to different needs and capabilities. Courses of Architectural Design, Urban Analysis, History of Italian Architecture, Neapolitan Cinema, Italian Language,  Sculpture and Photography can be offered by LAN’s members or by local professors coming from Naples’s academic institutions, and they can integrate the educational offer of each semester. The one term program will enjoy all the cultural exchange potentiality illustrated in the workshops chapter, with the further advantage of having a longer time to develop a deeper understanding of the context and peculiar learning methods.
